Hi, Thanks for your posts.
I want to know about the speed! I mean how we should say the sentences? Fast? Slow? Cause I studied about this, and find it very contradictory!

Thanks for your reply. Could you tell me what you found contradictory and what you studied? Depending on the presentation, audience, situation and content, it will be necessary to adjust your speed. Voice tone, intonation and inflection also play a role. Let me know what you studied and experienced so I can better answer your question.

Hello, Thank you.
I had a presentation teacher. Every time he said me : Just speak slow (very slow).
Also, he said: Speak just 3 words to 3 word (not more), i.e. 3 words, then stop a second, 3 words, stop a second, 3 words, etc.
This was based on one of the Brian Tracy’s book.
I practiced about it, but i couldn’t speak like that. It was too boring for me and for audience! But my teacher emphasized on this manner.
finally, I quit.
I watched presentations of religious clergymen. they speak very slow. I think cause this, they can convince audiences!
what is your idea?

You’re right. That’s too boring and it’s unnatural. Priests are good people to watch. They have to do a lot sometimes to convince their audience! 🙂

The best way is to practice and see how it sounds. Get feedback and adjust. Use pauses for emphasis and to draw attention. But always speak at a speed that your audience expects. That may mean slower for older people, faster for younger people. But that’s a very general rule. You’ll have to see what works best.

I think I should make a video about this topic. Thanks for the idea!
