PresentationExpressions.com has always been about helping your improve your presentation skills. And the only reason this site even exists is because of your continued support. There are now over 20,000 people visiting presentationexpressions.com each month from all over the world, and I want to do something to help you improve your presentation skills even further.
Meet Alex Lyon, Ph.D.
Alex and I met online through him watching and commenting on my YouTube videos. The great thing is that Alex has also been producing his own presentation skills videos.
Alex is a communications coach and is a tenured associate professor in the Communication Department at The College at Brockport (SUNY). He has a deep passion for helping people succeed, especially when it comes to presentation skills.
A Natural Fit
Since I wanted to add more content to help you, it seemed like a natural fit to include Alex’s work here on the site. So starting this week, there will be a video from Alex to help you improve your presentation skills.
I’m Not Going Anywhere
Just in case you think I’m adding Alex as a way to remove myself from the site… NO. I’m still going to be posting my weekly videos. I just want to make this site better and better and to offer more valuable content.
Anyway, thank you for your continued support and be sure to check out Alex’s posts, which will come out every Wednesday. Also be sure to subscribe to his YouTube channel.
Great news! Also interesting to hear that the blog gets about 20,000 monthly hits, as so does Remote Possibilities!
Thanks, Craig! I sent you a message asking if you’d be ok with me sharing your content here, too. Would you be interested in that?
No big surprise that you get that many… But I am surprised you don’t have many more than that! I love your content!
Ah, gotcha – replied to your message now.
It’s funny how my blog’s stats go. Maybe it’d get more hits if I posted more than once a month, but that schedule suits me well. (Recently I passed 500,000 all-time views, which I was pleased with, and 5 years of blogging.)
How long have you had PE, and how long a break did it have a couple of years back?
It’s a shame you don’t get more comments here, as they used to be pretty active, but maybe they’ve moved to YouTube now instead. I must admit, part of my philosophy of only posting monthly is to not dilute the comment count with more frequent posts! 🙂
It’s certainly nice to get feedback to show that people’ve found and read what you put so much time and thought into, whether that’s through traffic, shares, likes or comments. They’re all good!
I’ve had PE since 2009 and took a break for a couple of years, 2013-2015. Thankfully, I saw your resources post and got the kick in the pants to restart everything 🙂
I do get more engagement on YouTube than here, that’s for sure. I’m just happy and grateful that anyone at all checks out the content, whether it’s here or on YouTube.
Maybe at some point I will also scale back my posting schedule, but it’s fun to get the content out every week.
You doing once a month is great because you go more in depth.
Anyway, thanks for your support and continued success to you.
